When Coldplay switched on its Kiss Cam earlier this week, the band unintentionally opened up a whole can of worms.
The Jumbotron captured footage of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron with his arms wrapped around coworker Kristin Cabot. As soon as they realized they were being blasted across the screens, they attempted to evade the cameras. However, it was too late to hide their identities, as the Kiss Cam clip subsequently went viral across the globe.
It’s since emerged that Andy is a married man, with Newsweek confirming his wife’s identity to be Megan Kerrigan Byron.

1. Her Husband Was Caught Embracing Kristin Cabot
Megan’s husband, Andy, attended the Coldplay gig at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, July 16. When the Kiss Cam panned across the 65,000-plus crowd, it stopped to focus on the Astronomer CEO looking cozy with his coworker Cabot. Both immediately tried to evade the cameras and avoid being recognized.
“Whoa, look at these two. All right, come on. You’re OK,” Coldplay’s Chris Martin, 48, said after realizing the pair did not want to be captured by the Kiss Cam. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do.”
2. She’s Scrubbed Her Socials
According to Men’s Journal, Megan’s Facebook and Instagram pages were active on the morning of Thursday, July 17, before the footage went viral. However, these social media accounts have since been deleted. The outlet reported that Megan’s Facebook page contained family photos and that she appeared to have dropped “Byron” from her name prior to deactivating her Facebook account.
3. Strangers Have Been Sending Her Support
Prior to Megan deactivating her social media accounts, people flooded her comments with messages of support, according to several media outlets, including Men’s Journal, Newsweek and the New York Post.
“I really hope if she sees all this and it’s new to her that she is surrounded by people who truly love and support her to help her get through this,” one comment read, per Newsweek. “This is so wrong and so hurtful.”
The Post reported that another comment read, “What a class act! Go Megan. Get that divorce lawyer and get the money.”
