Sydney Sweeney isn’t quite done showing off her American Eagle collab.
Sweeney, 28, shared a behind-the-scenes moment from her controversial summer campaign with the brand, going topless underneath an oversized denim jacket.
In the pic, which her stylist, Molly Dickinson, first shared via her Instagram Story on Friday, September 26, the actress lifted her arms above her head and posed in front of a mirror. She let the jacket hang open, exposing her toned abs and underboob.
Sweeney teamed the sexy look with low-waisted jeans featuring the same shade of blue and a flared silhouette.
The Euphoria star completed her look with soft glam and her blonde hair worn down and styled in messy — but chic — waves. She also posed with her German Shepherd, Sully, who sat at her feet.
Sweeney’s American Eagle ad sparked controversy amongst fans for its sexual nature when it launched on July 23. It also started an online conversation about eugenics after she boasted about how “great” her “genes” are, while playing the double entendre with “jeans.”
In one video, the camera zoomed in on her cleavage as she said, “My body’s composition is determined by my genes.” She then told the camera, “Hey, eyes up here.” A narrator’s voice then declared, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”

Elsewhere in her campaign, Sweeney modeled in a pair of light-wash jeans featuring a straight leg. She wore the pants unbuttoned and rolled them down at her waist. The Housemaid star styled the pants with a white T-shirt, which she tied into a crop top with a neat knot below her bust.
She also leaned over a car and acted as if she was fixing it under the hood while wearing a pair of flared pants. She tucked her white tank top, complete with a low-cut scoop neck, into her pants. Sweeney gave the camera a pout as she worked on the Mustang, showing off her plump pout, long lashes and rosy cheeks.

After going viral, American Eagle responded to the backlash on August 1, writing via their official Instagram page, “‘Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans’ is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story.”
The statement continued, “We’ll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone.”
A source exclusively told Us Weekly what Sweeney’s reaction to the backlash was on August 5. “Sydney thinks this whole thing has been blown out of proportion,” the insider said. “She’s focusing her energy on work, including being back on set with her Euphoria family.”
Sweeney has not commented on the controversy, but told WSJ. Magazine in her cover story published on August 20, “I think it’s important to have a finger on the pulse of what people are saying, because everything is a conversation with the audience.”
