Harmon’s mother, Tiffany Saine, died shortly after he was signed to the Steelers during the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 24. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Harmon got to visit Saine in the hospital that night and revealed that he was the 21st overall pick in the Draft. Saine died moments later.

According to Harmon, his mom previously suffered a stroke when he was a student at Michigan State University in 2021. The condition left her paralyzed on her left side, which initially worried Harmon about transferring to the University of Oregon in 2024.
