The “Roar” singer and the former Canadian prime minister were first spotted out to dinner together in Montreal, Canada, in July 2025, just days before Trudeau attended Perry’s Lifetimes Tour stop in the city. A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that their outing was “definitely” a date, but it was “casual.”
Perry and Trudeau were still seeing each other by October 2025, with a source exclusively telling Us the pop star is “very happy” and keeping the romance “low-key.”
The couple made their first major public appearance on October 25, 2025, with a date at Crazy Horse Paris for Perry’s 41st birthday. She and Trudeau all but confirmed their relationship by holding hands while walking out of the club.

Two days later, Justin was seen attending Perry’s sold-out concert at Belle Centre in Montreal.
A source exclusively confirmed to Us that the pair’s dinner was “definitely a date” but “casual.”
“They had been in touch for the last month and have a few mutuals in the music industry,” the insider added.
September 2025
An insider exclusively shared an update on the couple on September 15, 2025, telling Us, “They’ve decided to be much more private about it. They are still speaking and are very interested in each other.”

An insider exclusively told Us on October 24, 2025, that Perry is “really into” her romance with Justin.
“She’s very happy,” the source said. “She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”
The insider added, “Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn’t met a lot of her friends yet.”
