Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas hinted he’s ready for another baby with wife BC Jean — but is she on the same page?
During the Tuesday, October 7, episode of the ABC ballroom competition, fans saw Ballas, 39, and partner Whitney Leavitt enjoying a day at Disneyland with her husband, Conner, and their three children.
“I love being here with Whitney and her family. I’m having so much fun with the kids and Conner,” Ballas told the cameras. “It makes me miss my son. … Might need to have No. 2, know what I’m saying?”
When asked after the show whether his comments came as a surprise to Jean, 38, Ballas gave Us Weekly some exclusive insight into her reaction.
“I looked at my wife and she was like, ‘[Uhhh],’” he teased. “We’re talking about it. We’ll get there.”
The couple, who tied the knot in 2016, welcomed son Banksi Wylde in November 2023. Ballas previously told Us that his family played a part in his decision to head back to the DWTS ballroom after taking some time away. (Ballas last competed on season 31 in 2022, which he won with partner Charli D’Amelio.)
“I really am excited for my son to see Daddy do this,” Ballas told Us in September. “I love the show and I’ve been able to perform on it a couple times since I stopped. I got to do the awesome tango with Derek [Hough], me and Charli did a victory lap. I got to guest judge last year. … I’m like, ‘I think I got a couple more in the tank.’ I want my son to watch me do this. Excited to be back.”

So far this season, Ballas and the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star have dominated the competition. Following their Broadway-worthy foxtrot to “The Room Where It Happens” on Tuesday night, the pair earned 25 points from the judges — with Carrie Ann Inaba handing out the first nine of the season.
“Look, there’s traditional foxtrot and then there’s Mark’s foxtrot,” Inaba, 57, raved from the judges’ table. “I was watching you and my lip was quivering. It’s so good — your precision, the technicality, the gliding … insane.”
Derek Hough added that the pair could fit in perfectly on any Broadway stage, while Bruno Tonioli praised their creative “interpretation.”
While their performance looked seamless on screen, Ballas and Leavitt told Us there were a few hiccups before show day.
“I did have a mental breakdown yesterday. Yeah, the camera blocking day was rough,” Leavitt admitted, thanking Ballas for his support. “But we pushed through, and I feel like [the score was] a huge reward at the end of that. I’m very grateful.”
Not only is Leavitt happy to have Ballas by her side, she’s also grateful her family is there to cheer her on. “I have so much support from my husband at home that helps me be able to do this. … I just want [my kids] to believe that they can do anything that they put their mind to,” she told Us.
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
