Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s 6-year-old son, Romeo, is currently battling a “super painful” injury.
“Romeo was playing in the park yesterday and broke his collarbone,” Hilaria, 41, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, April 5. “It’s gonna be a bit of healing journey. It’s super painful, but we are really grateful for the kind medical staff that is taking care of him!”
In Hilaria’s upload, she and Romeo posed for a mirror selfie where one of the elementary schooler’s arms was resting in a navy-colored sling. Later on Saturday, Hilaria shared another image of Romeo alongside a “Love You” sticker.
Alec, 66, and the former yoga instructor have been married since 2012 and share six other children: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Edouardo, 4, Maria, 4, and Ilaria, 2. (Alec also is the father to eldest daughter Ireland, 29, whom he welcomed with ex-wife Kim Basinger.)
The Baldwin brood has recently been sharing their latest adventures and the chaos of having a big family on their eponymous TLC docuseries.
“I think [that] we didn’t think it through very much, which I look back now and I’m thinking ‘What were we thinking?’ But at the same time, I’m so glad that we didn’t because it is so raw and it is so true and it was a very vulnerable time,” Hilaria exclusively told Us Weekly in March. “It’s interesting to look back and even though it’s not that long ago, it really was a diary of how we were coping and moving forward.”
Alec and Hilaria began filming The Baldwins shortly after the actor’s Rust shooting scandal. (Alec fired a prop gun in 2021 that killed the film’s director of photography. He was indicted and charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter, which were dismissed at trial.)
“We’re so lucky because Sarah Reddy helped tell our story,” Hilaria told Us. “Howard Lee really, really is the one that believed in us and saw this. Just to be heard and seen and speak is such a special thing.”
Alec, meanwhile, revealed to Us that the production was “fun” for the whole family.
“Well, we’re always going to get a response [like] that [when doing] reality TV, among other things,” Alec said last month, denying that the reality TV show could have impacted their marriage. “I hosted game shows and did Match Game for a while and that was all to put money in our foundation, to get to charity, and you’re always looking for alternative forums to do that with. And so, we did that and when you do things like this, people are always like, ‘Oh, this is another silly thing you’re doing.’ I really don’t care. We had fun.”
