Wendy Osefo did not let her and husband Eddie Osefo’s recent arrests for fraud keep her from BravoCon 2025.
During a panel with her Real Housewives of Potomac costars at the Las Vegas event on Friday, November 14, the 41-year-old spoke candidly about the support she’s received following her legal drama.
“I read your messages. I can’t respond to everyone, but your love and support means the world to me,” she said. “You know, it’s an unfortunate situation, and right now I can’t say too much, but I will say when the time is right, I will share my story with everyone, and for now they’re just allegations, so we will continue to push forward.”
When asked which of her castmates she heard from first, Wendy said it was “a tie” between Stacey Rusch and Monique Samuels. “I just am so grateful for them,” she added, also sending love to Gizelle Bryant and Tia Glover, as well as the production team at Bravo.
Wendy went on to share a message she and Eddie, also 41, tell their kids. The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, share sons Karter, 12, and Kruz, 10, and daughter Kamrynn, 6.
“Even when the game is not on your side … you always hold your chin up, so here I am, chin up,” she said on Friday.
One month before this year’s BravoCon, Wendy and Eddie were indicted by a grand jury on October 9 on charges of insurance fraud, conspiracy insurance fraud and a false statement to a police officer. The couple were arrested in Westminster, Maryland, and later released on $50,000 bond each.
“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits,” a rep for the pair told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. “They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”
Wendy subsequently addressed her and Eddie’s legal troubles via Instagram.
“And through it all, GOD remains faithful,” she wrote on October 19. “Thank you for the outpouring of love, support and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful 🙏🏾. Tune into @bravotv tonight for a new episode of #RHOP.”
In April 2024, Wendy and Eddie reported an alleged burglary at their home to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, claiming that their bedroom and closets were ransacked when they returned from a vacation in Jamaica and luxury items such as jewelry and designer handbags were missing.
However, according to documents obtained by Us, police found evidence that disputed the break-in story during their investigation. For instance, the family’s security system did not detect movement in the house while they were away.
Eddie provided statements to two insurance companies about the allegedly stolen items, denying that anything listed had been returned and failing to disclose that he was filing claims with multiple insurance agencies, per the documents.
Wendy and Eddie signed statements claiming $2,500 for the building and $450,000 in property.
The duo received a $25,380 claim settlement from Travelers Insurance.
A police investigation later determined that Wendy and Eddie returned various items to stores for full refunds before filing claims with the insurance companies alleging their property had been stolen. The goods were valued in excess of $20,000.
During a search of the Osefos’ home, authorities discovered at least 15 items that appeared to be their allegedly stolen property.
While crafting their alleged scheme, Eddie notably asked Wendy in an April 2024 email if there were “additional high-value items we can add to this inventory listing (i.e., Chanel shoes, etc.).” Eddie was allegedly “trying to get the total to exceed $423,000, which [was his] policy maximum.”
